Blacking

For iron and iron alloy metals (such as wrought iron, low alloy steel, and stainless steel), this coating is a chemical black oxide coating. Due to its poor corrosion resistance, the coating is applied to objects that are utilised in slightly corrosive environments. Four categories of solutions have been identified by standards. Class 1 steels and Class 4 stainless steels are the most often used of these. Because Class 2 and Class 3 kinds are manufactured at high temperatures, they require strict Occupational Safety regulations.
